Terms of Service
Effective date: [to be set] · Operator: [legal entity] ("SpecLab", "we") · Contact: [support@…]
1. Acceptance
By using SpecLab you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What SpecLab is
SpecLab provides informational diagnostic, maintenance, and wheel-fitment guidance for specific European cars, drawn from an expert-verified knowledge base. Where we do not have a verified answer, we tell you so rather than guess.
3. Not professional advice — use at your own risk
SpecLab is guidance, not a substitute for a qualified mechanic or for the manufacturer's official documentation. Vehicle work can be dangerous. You are responsible for how you use the information, and safety-critical work should be performed by a professional. We flag safety-critical items, but the final judgment and any repair are yours. You use SpecLab at your own risk.
4. Your account
Sign-in is provided by [Clerk]. You are responsible for your account and for the accuracy of what you enter (e.g. your car and mileage). You may delete your data at any time from your garage.
5. Acceptable use
Do not scrape, bulk-download, resell, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the knowledge base; do not disrupt or attack the service; do not misuse it in any unlawful way.
6. Intellectual property
SpecLab, its knowledge base, software, and brand are proprietary and protected (see the project LICENSE). No rights are granted except to use the service as intended. "SpecLab" and its logo are our marks.
7. Affiliate links
Some parts may link to retailers through affiliate links, disclosed in the interface. We may earn a commission. Prices and availability are the retailer's; verify them before purchase.
8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpecLab is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any vehicle damage, injury, or loss arising from use of the guidance. [Jurisdiction-specific caps to be set by counsel.]
9. Termination
We may suspend or end access for misuse or to protect the service. You may stop using SpecLab and delete your data at any time.
10. Changes & governing law
We may update these terms and will post changes here with a new effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction]. Questions: [support@…].
